Teaching is a one of the noble, responsible, respected and the most trusted profession in the world. It educates, inspires, motivates and groom the youth of the country.  New young generation plays vital and very important role in socio-economic development of the country. Thus a responsibility of teachers increases many folds.

To pace with the new developments in various fields like science and technologies and to make students aware about these, teachers have to periodical and regularly upgrade themselves. The up-gradation in subjects, curriculum's and innovations in teaching methods are also equally very important. In teaching, adapting new technologies and emphasizing more on practical makes students very clear about concepts ease in understanding and memorizing it over long period. 

Innovations in teaching methods would help and inspire teaching fraternity and students will gain advantages and enjoyment in learning.  Thus it became essential need of modern time. We must understand importance and explore the power of learning and must create it as a hobby rather than occasional occurrence to build bright future of students and hence nation.

          To achieve above aim, “National Council of Teacher Scientist (NCTS)” was established in 2010 by “Raman Science & Technology Foundation” Rajkot, Gujarat which is to fulfill the dream of our Eminent and great Scientist Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam by developing and emphasizing scientific approach in teaching among the teacher community. 

The main Aims of NCTS:

Ø  To develop interest and awareness about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education among teacher community.

Ø  To develop 21st century skills like critical thinking, problem solving, decision making and reasoning etc. among teacher community as recommended in the New Education Policy (NEP - 2020).

Ø  To develop scientific approach, thoughts and point of view among teacher community.

Ø  To adopt new technologies in teaching so that teachers can gain advantages and enjoyment.

Ø  To develop modern teaching methods and aids for the teachers.

Ø  To organised and implement science and math related activities on regular basis.
